Iraqi Minister of Oil Ihssan Abdul-Jabbar Ismail met with the Turkish ambassador to Baghdad Ali Reza Gunay, about increasing export capabilities through the Turkish port of Ceyhan, after addressing legal challenges. The media office of the Ministry of Oil announced this in a statement after the meeting. Bilateral relations between the two countries were discussed. They discussed how Turkish companies could support and participate in production operations and upcoming projects for the ministry and National Oil Company.
Ismail stressed the importance of developing bilateral relations with Turkey and working to increase export capabilities through the Turkish port of Ceyhan. This is in response to the current legal challenges, and in a manner that achieves Iraq’s interests, through various projects and agreements. The Turkish ambassador expressed his country’s desire to strengthen bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two countries in a manner that serves common interests.
